DEC. 16, 2009 • The Wall Street Journal reported that starting in mid-January McDonalds would lift its existing $2.95 fee for two hours of wireless access. The change would make wireless free in between 11,000 and 14,000 U.S. locations.
Impact: Last Christmas the iPod Touch was on the list of many youngsters. This is a smart decision by the fast food giant because many of those kids will be looking for a WiFi connection to power their new devices. This is an amazingly good lure that should help sell more Happy Meals.
