SEPT. 6, 2007 • Emergent Game Technologies announced the Wii version of its Gamebryo game engine. Gamebryo is already used by many of the industry’s leading console and PC titles including Bethesda Softworks’ The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and its upcoming Fallout 3, plus EA-Mythic’s upcoming Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Gamebryo is optimized for accelerated cross-platform development on symmetric and asymmetric multiprocessor and single processor systems. The company has also partnered with HP to provide HP BladeSystem c-Class server blades and HP StorageWorks server solutions as part of platform strategy, which includes a “pay-as-you-go” Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, so any studio anywhere can have access to the tools and all the accompanying game services required to launch and manage an online game.
