According to UKOM Brits Are Online More

UKOM-SMAY 19, 2010 • According to the U.K. Online Measurement (UKOM) company, the average British web user is spending 65% more time online than three years ago: 22 hours per month. In the 85 classes of online content UKOM tracks, both social networks and blogs accounted for 22.7% of all time spent online, email was second at 7.2%, and games were third at 6.9%.

Impact: Computers and the Internet have been a staple for many years.  However, it is clear that content and community have really made huge leaps in the past few years.  Several years ago most communication was done by email.  Today social networks and blogs allow for much more robust communication and clearly that is driving increased usage.  To us the most surprising finding is that game usage is almost as popular as email usage!
