JAN. 28, 2009 • Nexon America closed its Vancouver studio. The creative team there had been responsible for developing and localizing Nexon casual online games for North America.

Impact: Nexon’s Vancouver studio was a fairly new entity headed by long time industry veteran Alex Garden.  This was clearly a decision driven by economic conditions.  Nexon already had a North American presence in Los Angeles and the new Vancouver division had not yet started publishing products.
