Google’s Nexus Player Streaming Box

OCT. 16, 2014 • Google Inc. is back in the television set-top business with its new $99 Nexus Player. Preorders for the unit start October 17 but Google has not announced an official launch date. The Nexus Player is one of the first devices to run on the latest Android 5.0 (Lollipop) OS, which has been optimized for large screen HDTVs. PC Shipments Boosted

OCT. 10, 2014 • PC shipments are on the rise again in Europe and North America, according to research firms Gartner Inc. and International Data Corp. Gartner found that PC shipments to Europe for the quarter ending September 30 rose 9.1% compared to the same period last year. In North America, Gartner estimated PC shipments had increased 4.2%, while IDC pegged the growth at 4.3%. Both firms found demand was for portables not desktops, with replacement of Windows.....

Nintendo Super Smash Bros. Sales Conquers World

OCT. 7, 2014 • Having already amassed sales of 1.42 million in Japan since September 13, Super Smash Bros. 3DS was released in the Americas, Australia and Europe on October 3 to strong consumer demand. Purchases in these additional markets have boosted total worldwide Super Smash Bros. sales of the game to 2.8 million. The strong performance has led Nintendo Co. Xbox One China Sales Reach 100,000 Units

Wasteland 2 From InXile Has Legs

SEPT. 24, 2014 • Four days out from its September 19 release on Steam, Wasteland 2 from inXile Ent. has generated $1.5 million in revenue.
