World of Warcraft Annual Pass with Diablo III
NOV. 8, 2011 • After noting that the number of active World of Warcraft subscribers had dropped under 11 million to 10.3 million, Activision Blizzard announced an annual pass for the MMO to encourage lapsed players to return. Consumers who make a 12-month commitment to World of Warcraft, will get a copy of Diablo III for free, along with an invitation to the next World of Warcraft beta and an exclusive in-game mount.

Nexon IPO Expects ¥100 Billion Listing
NOV. 7, 2011 • Nexon Co. Ltd. hopes listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange will raise as much as ¥100 billion yen ($1.3 billion) once the Nexon IPO is complete in December. According to the Bloomberg news service, Nexon hired Nomura Holdings Inc., Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to manage the offering in Japan, the U.S. and Europe. Barnes and Noble’s Nook Tablet
NOV. 7, 2011 • Not to be outdone my Amazon.com’s Kindle Fire tablet, Barnes & Noble introduced it own $249 Nook Tablet. Weighing in at less than a pound, the Nook Tablet provides around 11 hours of reading time. The new model uses the same seven-inch screen from the existing Nook Color, and beefs up the hardware specification. Angry Birds at 500 Million Downloads
NOV. 2, 2011 • Since it release in 2009, Rovio Mobile’s Angry Birds has registered more than 500 million downloads on various platforms. Rovio also says 300 million minutes a day are played in the game globally. That popularity has enabled the developer to ship more than 10 million Angry Birds toys across the world, and even publish a cookbook.

Lineage II Taken Free-to-Play
