China Mobile Users Pass PC Users

JULY 21, 2014 • For the first time Chinese who use their smartphones to access the internet (83.4%) outnumber PC users (80.9%). As of June 30 total internet users in China had reached 632 million, of which 527 million were China mobile users. At the end of 2013 there were 618 million internet users. First Half 2014 Japan Video Game Console Sales Flat

JULY 9, 2014 • Japanese game publication Famitsu has released a tally of Japan video game console hardware sales in Japan for the first six months of 2014. JUNE 25, 2014 • DFC Intelligence has announced that for the second time this year they are significantly raising their five-year video game forecast.  Overall game software revenue is expected to go from $64 billion in 2014 to $100 billion in 2018.  This includes revenue from PC games, console games and mobile games, but does not include hardware spending on game devices. Tencent Mobile Game Revenue Triples in First Quarter
