Zynga Financial Results Disappoint

July 25, 2012 • Zynga Inc. posted bruising second quarter financial results that threw into question whether the social games powerhouse now faces declining fortunes ahead. The publisher posted a loss of $22.8 million for the quarter, with $332 million in revenue. Analysts had expected revenue of $343 million for the period. Nintendo Operating Loss First Ever

FEBRUARY 9, 2012 • Activision Blizzard reported that World of Warcraft subscribers declined 100,000 during the quarter ending Dec. 31. Tablet Sales Grow

JAN. 25, 2012 • Apple Inc. announced that 15.4 million iPads had been sold during the Fourth Quarter of 2011. By comparison, 14.7 million HP PCs were sold during the same period (Gartner). According to Pew Internet, in North America, More than one in four individuals now own a tablet or e-book reader thanks to strong holiday sales.
