Destiny Franchise Has $500 Million Price Tag

MAY 6, 2014 • Activision Blizzard chief executive Bobby Kotick told financial executives at this week’s Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles last week that with the $500 million bet his company was making on Bungie Inc.’s Destiny franchise could only be made on owned IP. China Online Games Reach $13.1 Billion

MAY 1, 2014 • China’s Ministry of Culture released its annual report noting that the domestic China online games industry generated 81.9 billion yuan ($13.1 billion) in revenue during 2013, an increase of 36.3% over 2012. Sony’s Sweet & Sour 2014: 6 Million PlayStation 4 Units Sold

MARCH 4, 2015 • Sony Computer Ent. has announced another PlayStation 4 sales milestone after a week of major layoff announcements corporation-wide.
