4GB Xbox 360 & Halo Reach

Consumers Wary of 3D Television

SEPT. 9, 2010 • According to a report by The Nielsen Company, consumers who were surveyed about the future purchase of a 3D television returned some sobering responses. Of the 25% of those who said they were very likely to purchase a 3D TV, after a full demonstration, only 12% said they were very likely to buy a 3D television. Xbox Live Gold Subscription Price Increased to $59

AUG. 30, 2010 • Starting Nov. 1 Microsoft will raise the annual Xbox Live Gold subscription to $59.99 from $49.99. The move will make the previously announced Family Subscription a greater value. The Gold Family Pack will provide four Gold memberships for $99. In addition, existing Gold user will be able to roll their single subscription into the Gold Family Pack, The family plan includes a more family-friending dashboard, and content availability will be slight.....

ATI Technologies Brand Retired

AUG. 29, 2010 • AMD is preparing to retire the ATI Technologies name regardless of 25 years of brand equity. The move is being driven by upcoming products that will combine the CPU and GPU on the same chip. AMD believes that it has “permission” to make the change following internal surveys that suggest consumers like the AMD brand and won’t mind it being associated with ATI product lines. .....

Microsoft China Seeks Approval For Xbox 360 Launch

PlayStation 3 Sales Pass 38 Million Worldwide

JULY 27, 2010 • For the three-month period ending June 30, Sony reported that it had sold 2.4 million PS3s worldwide, up 118% from the same period last year. Total worldwide sales have reached 38.1 million. In related news, Sony confirmed that it will release fully localized versions of Killzone 3 and INFAMOUS 2 in Latin America next spring concurrent with their U.S. releases.
