First Half 2014 Japan Video Game Console Sales Flat

JULY 9, 2014 • Japanese game publication Famitsu has released a tally of Japan video game console hardware sales in Japan for the first six months of 2014. Sony and Microsoft Spend $94 Million on Video Game Television Advertising

JULY 3, 2014 • During the first five months of 2014 Sony Computer Ent. America and Microsoft Corp. combined spent $93.7 million to advertise their latest consoles on U.S. television, as reported in the Wall Street Journal based on estimates provided by research firm iSpot.tv. $100 Billion Video Game Market by 2018

JUNE 25, 2014 • DFC Intelligence has announced that for the second time this year they are significantly raising their five-year video game forecast.  Overall game software revenue is expected to go from $64 billion in 2014 to $100 billion in 2018.  This includes revenue from PC games, console games and mobile games, but does not include hardware spending on game devices. By 2018 the game market is likely to be split fairly evenly between console, PC and mobil.....
